Named for: Washburn, Flying Officer Dean J. (Twenty-four year old F/O Washburn, of Fernie, BC, was diving and firing at an enemy vehicle when his No. 438 Squadron Typhoon aircraft was hit by flak and he was killed on December 24, 1944. WW II)
